It’s been a full week in Bisbee, AZ now and I’m pretty sure that the large, bald one has not left the apartment yet. She spent most of the week looking into her work computer and the weekend quietly staring out of the window or sitting on the floor. We’ve had weekends like this in the past, but it’s been a while. I have to admit that it was a nice change of pace.

As for me, I’ve finally identified my top 3 places to nap and enjoyed some much-needed window time, alongside Michele. While this room only has one window, it’s filled with sunlight during the latter half of the day and has a nice view of trees and a few small hills.
As it turns out, my second favorite place to nap is shaking out to be Michele’s first favorite place to sit. We are already starting to fight over the territory as I assert dominance by jumping on her lap and walking in little circles so that my tail swishes back and forth in front of her face. I can tell she is close to retreating; I always win these things.
MICHELE’S ADDENDUM: Today marks the end of our 5th week of travel and I feel like we have been moving nonstop. I took the first weekend in Bisbee to do 2 days of silent meditation. I’m no stranger to multi-day meditations, but I have to admit that this was one of the hardest. Our new lifestyle requires substantially more mental energy than our last and it was difficult to turn it off. Nonetheless, it was a much-needed antidote to constant exploration.
