Another week has passed, but this time the large, bald one left me alone for nearly 24 hours. It’s been so long since I’ve had full, uninterrupted access to the kitchen countertops that I had almost forgotten how much enjoy walking all over them.

As I roamed back and forth, I took special notice of the cleanliness of the stovetop. Michele has spent a lot of time wiping it down lately, so I can only deduce this activity brings her joy. As my dirty, little paws leave kitty-shaped prints across the surface each time I cross it, I feel deeply happy to give Michele another reason to clean when she returns home.
I spend the rest of the day looking for other opportunities to express my love to Michele. I manage to kick a small pile of litter onto the kitchen floor, drop a mouthful of dry food into my water bowl, push all of my toys underneath the couch, and cough up one gigantic furball onto the rug.
I can not wait to see her face when she returns!
