If you are into dramatic nature, laid-back beach towns, and quirky roadside attractions, then a road trip from California to Arizona is just your ticket. It's time to get ready for a paw-some adventure!

After extensive travels around the country, this cat has finally discovered the purrfect place for wine tasting in California. The Monterey California wineries are quiet, cozy, and close to nature - what more could a cat wish for? Whether you are looking to exercise your paws with a walk around town or stretch out in the sun next to the wine grapes in the vineyards outside of town, there are plenty of friendly wineries where you will feel right at home. 

As a slow traveling cat, I take great pleasure in my visits to the charming town of Monterey, California. Located a little over 2 hours south of San Francisco, Monterey boasts an abundant marine world, a storied past, and a laid-back lifestyle. I was particularly captivated by the town’s historical involvement in the sardine canning trade. Oh, how I yearned to saunter through the streets of Cannery Row during the zenith of those days!

Everyone knows that cats like to lounge in high places where we can look down on our surroundings with a regal, feline air. And, there is no better place to look down on surroundings than the Grand Canyon National Park. Filled with look out points, plenty of wildlife and hiking trails galore, the Grand Canyon is the cat’s meow. However, the vast playground of nature can be difficult to navigate, especially for cats that are on a tight schedule. Do not worry though, me and my faithful human companion are here to guide you through the main day hikes in the Grand Canyon so that you can make your travel dreams come true.

Cats love visiting Glacier National Park. The variety of nature coupled with ample opportunity for adventure is just two of the reasons this park is a slow traveling cat’s heaven. In order to really appreciate all this park has to offer, however, you must get out and explore on foot. It’s time to get those paws moving on the best trails in Glacier National Park!

Everyone knows that cats are naturally afflicted by a sense of wanderlust. For a curious cat like me, wanderlust is an itch that tickles my adventurous spirit. While most cats will recognize Sonoma County as home to one of California's best-known wine-growing regions, it's also important to know this area is full of nature, small-town charm, and home to the late Jack London, a popular author amongst all animals. As a traveling cat, I felt an immediate affinity toward Sonoma County and a strong desire to explore more than just the vineyards. When I discovered Jack London Historic Park just outside of Glen Ellen, CA, I practically hopped at the idea of learning more about the acclaimed author who is best known for the exploration of the human-animal bond. After all, what cat did not love reading White Fang and Call of the Wild?

No kitty's adventure in the Pacific Northwest is truly paw-some without a journey into the infamous Puget Sound. This traveling cat particularly enjoyed visiting Whidbey Island. This area’s spooky weather and diverse nature, make it the perfect getaway from the fast-paced life of Seattle. The best part? You’ll only need to endure approximately 90 minutes of highway driving to arrive in a land that feels worlds away.
